This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to FastAccounts subscriptions and Services and should be read together with the applicable FastAccounts Terms of Service and Payment Policy, available on the FastAccounts website, together with any applicable Order, invoice, subscription details and product-specific or country/regional terms.
For purposes of this Policy, “FastAccounts” has the meaning given in the applicable FastAccounts Terms of Service.
For subscriptions renewed by invoice or another non-automatic payment method, a Customer is not required to provide a separate cancellation notice merely because it does not wish to renew. If the Customer does not pay the renewal amount, the Service will expire or become restricted in accordance with the applicable subscription and overdue-payment arrangements.
Where a Customer cancels or elects not to renew, access to the Service will normally continue until the end of the period for which payment has already been received, subject to the Terms of Service and any suspension rights that may apply.
Where a Customer chooses a card, direct debit or other automatic payment arrangement, the subscription may renew automatically and the applicable payment method may be charged at each renewal unless the Customer cancels or disables automatic renewal in accordance with the applicable arrangements.
FastAccounts may retry a failed automatic payment where technically supported and permitted. Any applicable cancellation method, notice requirement or cut-off for an automatic payment arrangement may be stated at checkout, in the Customer’s account, subscription confirmation or other applicable documentation.
Fees paid for a subscription or Service are generally non-refundable, including where the Customer stops using the Service, cancels during an already-paid period, reduces its usage, no longer requires the Service, or fails to use available features.
Cancellation or non-renewal does not normally create a right to a refund or credit for any unused portion of an already-paid subscription period.
FastAccounts may, at its discretion, provide a refund, credit, extension or other adjustment in appropriate circumstances. Nothing in this Policy limits any refund or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
Where FastAccounts approves a refund, it will normally be paid to the original payment method, or to another method agreed with the Customer, within 90 days of approval. Bank, payment-provider or currency-conversion charges incurred on the original payment may be deducted from the refund amount unless FastAccounts agrees otherwise.
Where a Customer upgrades a plan, adds a module or Service, increases employees or users, or otherwise increases chargeable capacity or usage during a subscription period, FastAccounts may charge the applicable additional amount, including on a pro-rata basis for the remaining subscription period where appropriate.
Charges may be calculated or invoiced manually or automatically depending on the Service and systems available at the relevant time.
Where a Service can be downgraded, a requested downgrade will normally take effect from the next renewal or subscription period and will not ordinarily reduce the price of, or create a refund or credit for, the current already-paid period.
Some Services, modules, plans or configurations may not be capable of downgrade for technical, operational, regulatory or product reasons. All downgrades are therefore subject to availability, technical feasibility and the applicable product rules. FastAccounts may confirm whether a downgrade request has been accepted and when it will take effect.
Discounts, introductory prices, promotional offers, negotiated prices, free plans, free allowances and trials are subject to their applicable conditions and do not create a permanent entitlement to the same price, discount or allowance.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a discount or promotional price applies only to the initial subscription period or first year and does not automatically continue on renewal.
Free plans, allowances, trials and promotional usage may be changed, restricted or withdrawn by FastAccounts upon reasonable notice where appropriate, subject to applicable law.
Expiry, cancellation or non-renewal of a Service is also subject to the data-retention, restricted-access, backup and deletion provisions in the FastAccounts Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Customers remain responsible for exporting and preserving records they are required to retain.
If a Customer believes that a payment, invoice, renewal or adjustment is incorrect, it should contact FastAccounts promptly and provide reasonable details so that the matter can be reviewed. FastAccounts may correct an invoice, issue a credit or make another appropriate adjustment where an error is identified.
A dispute concerning part of an invoice does not, to the extent permitted by applicable law, relieve the Customer from paying any undisputed amount when due.
FastAccounts may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Services, payment arrangements, business operations, law or regulation. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice where appropriate.
If there is a conflict between this Policy and mandatory applicable law, the mandatory law will prevail. If there is a conflict with a specific Order, product-specific term or country/regional term, the more specific applicable document will govern to the extent of that conflict.
